Sicily

Sicily has been fought over by everyone from the Phoenicians to the Spaniards to the Allies over the past 2000 years and this is reflected in its fascinating art, architecture and food which are a melting pot of Arab, African and European influences.

When we help our clients explore Sicily, our aim is to get under the skin and allow access to the most private and exclusive side of this very complex and fascinating island. We try to achieve a mix between the island’s ‘dark politics’, extraordinary eclectic cultural mix, natural beauty, sea, food and wine and its wonderfully elegant and grand private houses, gardens, palaces and treasures.

Designated a Unesco World Heritage Site in 2000, the volcanic archipelago of the Aeolian islands is located just off the northern coast of Sicily in the Tyrrhenian Sea. The volcanic origins of the islands have resulted in black-sand beaches, dramatic coastlines smouldering fumaroles and thermal waters. Each island has a fiercely unique character, from the laidback charm of Salina (where Il Postino was filmed) to the rich and fashionable jet set playground of Panarea.
