A Perfect Ten
It was art that lured Emily FitzRoy to Italy. As a young lady she travelled to Venice to study art history, and since then she hasn’t been able to shake Italy out of her system. The Londoner, whose grandmother was Neapolitan, founded travel company Bellini Travel 15 years ago to share her “undiluted passion” for Italy. In this issue she writes about her top ten villas.

Where to go... for a breakaway Christmas
Most of Rome happens behind closed doors. But come at Christmas and it may be warm enough to eat outside, or cold enough for hats and mittens. This villa is where you get all the benefits of a Roman holiday staying with one of the finest families in the city. Ring the door bell and you’re pulled into an aristo townhouse with a dark-wood-panelled library, vast drawing rooms – and, in the basement, a spa. Book through Bellini Travel.
