Amalfi Coast, Capri and Ischia

Where better to sample the finer points of the Italian dolce vita than in the Bay of Naples?

The beauty of the landscape and the charm of the climate have entranced visitors since time immemorial. Whether you have the energy to tackle the fascinating centre of Naples, dodging vespas as you take in the sights, or want to escape to the islands of Ischia and Capri, or the wild beauty of the Amalfi Coast, we can help you enjoy one of the most delectable areas of Italy.

The Amalfi Coast is a fabulous juxtaposition of a wild, ragged coastline and the enchanting towns dotted along its length. If you choose to stay up high at Ravello, you will experience the most breathtaking views, whilst the vertically stacked town of Positano offers a more vibrant way of life.

Capri is renowned as the jewel in Naples’ crown – people consider this quite right and quite wrong in equal measures. The key to enjoying this dramatically beautiful island is to avoid the sometimes overwhelming crowds and live life like a true Caprese - dining at its hidden restaurants some of which are only reachable by boat and staying at one of the more secluded and idyllic hotels. Of course, if seriously elegant dining, shopping and people-spotting is what you are after, the Piazzetta and charming alleys that lead off it are the absolute place to be in Italy in the summer.

If you are looking for the opposite of the ritzy life of the Amalfi Coast and Capri, you could no better than look to the volcanic island of Ischia, a mere 18 miles from Capri. Whether you want wonderful old-fashioned spa treatments at the famous Regina Isabella or to eat the most delicious rabbit stew at a village restaurant on the slopes of the volcano, Ischia is an absolute delight.
